Pieter Eksteen has built his career helping developers turn opportunities into successful projects.
With extensive experience spanning property development, project management, commercial management and development finance, Pieter brings a practical understanding of the challenges developers face at every stage of the project lifecycle. His hands-on involvement in acquisitions, development approvals, feasibility assessment, project delivery and funding strategy enables him to quickly identify commercial objectives and structure solutions that support successful outcomes.
A key strength is Pieter’s ability to bridge the gap between the development industry and the financial sector. Having worked extensively on both sides of the equation, he understands how to present complex development opportunities in a manner that lenders can assess with confidence, helping clients secure funding aligned with their project’s requirements.
As Director of BEDROCK Funding, Pieter has cultivated long-standing relationships across major banks, non-bank lenders and private capital providers. He also maintains a broad professional network that includes developers, valuers, planners, builders, consultants, investors and commercial property specialists.

Pieter holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Certificate IV in Financial Services and a Full Real Estate Licence.

Cornel is a finance and project advisory professional with more than 20 years of experience delivering complex commercial and funding solutions across multiple industries and international markets.
He has held senior management positions within publicly listed organisations and has led large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects across five countries, operating at the intersection of financial analysis, business strategy and project delivery.
Cornel brings a rare combination of technical discipline and commercial insight. His background in engineering, business analysis and executive management enables him to assess development and investment opportunities with both analytical precision and commercial realism.
At BEDROCK Funding, Cornel specialises in due diligence, financial modelling, feasibility assessment, funding structure design and transaction execution through to settlement.
His ability to quickly identify key funding considerations allows him to translate complex project data into clear, structured information that financial institutions can assess with confidence. This capability is central to securing appropriate capital structures across senior debt, junior debt and alternative funding sources.
Cornel’s experience spans a wide range of industries and project types, supported by a strong track record in managing senior and junior debt providers, coordinating stakeholders and guiding transactions through to completion.
Cornel holds an Engineering Degree, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma in Business Analysis.

Ryan Conwell brings a rare combination of construction expertise and funding insight to BEDROCK Funding, giving clients a trusted adviser who understands the property development journey from concept through to completion.
Prior to joining BEDROCK Funding, Ryan built a distinguished career spanning more than 20 years in the construction industry, progressing from estimating and contract administration roles to Project Manager and ultimately Senior Project Manager. Throughout his career, he successfully delivered a diverse range of retail, industrial, commercial and residential projects, often within complex, high-value and multi-stakeholder environments.
Ryan’s transition into property finance was a natural progression, driven by his passion for helping developers and investors navigate the challenges of bringing projects to life. Having worked on the delivery side of development for decades, he understands the

Known for her approachable nature and genuine commitment to customer service, Michelle builds lasting relationships by making every stage of the lending process straightforward and stress-free.
A born-and-bred Cairns local who has also worked extensively in Brisbane, Michelle combines strong local market knowledge with broad industry experience. She is passionate about supporting clients in achieving their property goals while providing trusted advice throughout the finance journey.
Outside of work, Michelle is actively involved in her community as a Board Member of the Cairns Hockey Association and has previously served on the board of the Cairns Business Women’s Club. She also supports a range of local sporting organisations and charities across the region.
